About Us
Who We Are
The Rocky Mountain Earth Institute is a network of
volunteers in Colorado connected to each other by
their vision for a sustainable future.  Our personal
experiences with the discussion courses and the
benefits we received inspired us all to find ways to
offer them to others in the Rocky Mountain region.
Our Interests
Beyond helping others to examine their values,
reduce their environmental impact, and live a more
deliberate life, the Rocky Mountain Earth Institute is
deeply dedicated to building meaningful community.
It is this web of relationships that we feel makes life
rich and so much fun.  Want to join us?

When Did it All Start?
The Northwest Earth Institute was founded in 1993 by
Jeanne and Dick Roy.  In 1997 they launched the
National Network to begin offering the courses
outside the Northwest.  They'd been offered in
Colorado since 1998 but all of those people hadn't
yet been connected together. The Rocky Mountain
Earth Institute was founded on May 11, 2007 by a
group of dedicated individuals from across the state.
